RLBCAU Infrastructure

Physical infrastructure is essential to provide a comfortable environment for teaching-learning, research and extension activities. In reality, location, land, land connectivity, landscaping, student activities area, attractive & green buildings, parking facilities, roads with walking & bicycle paths, admission & counselling area, classrooms, faculty chambers, meeting rooms, laboratories, cafeteria, games & sports facilities, auditorium, library/digital resource centre,  Xerox & Printing, hostels, residents, shops, medical units, student recreation facilities, Research Park, etc. are considered essential components. Physical infrastructure provides comfort facilities to the stakeholders.

Vision

The vision of RLBCAU is to establish itself as a centre of excellence with social commitment by integrating modern, scientific and technological knowledge and skills with the basic human ethos and values. The University shall set forth a model in teaching, research and personality development and create skilled human resource with a sense of responsiveness towards society, the country and the world at large.

Mission

The mission of the university is to be a center of Excellence in teaching, research and extension education in the field of agriculture and allied sciences. RLBCAU is also conscious of the importance of developing entrepreneurial and scholastic abilities for creation of knowledge, wealth and prosperity for the country as well as peace and happiness for human beings.

Objectives

 The objectives of the University shall be—

  • to impart education in different branches of agriculture and allied sciences as it may deem fit;
  • to further the advancement of learning and conducting of research in agricultural and allied sciences;
  • to undertake programmes of extension education particularly in Bundelkhand region;
  • to promote partnership and linkages with national and international educational institutions; and
  • to undertake such other activities as it may, from time to time, determine.

2009 Memorandum dated 27 July, 2009 to Prime Minister

To overcome the constraints of region, the memorandum dated 27 July, 2009 was submitted to the Prime Minister by a delegation of MPs/MLAs requesting that a comprehensive package for the Bundelkhand region including a CAU may be considered.

2014 Announcement of the Establishment of Rani Laxmi Bai Central Agricultural University, Jhansi

Shri Sharad Pawar, Union Minister of Agriculture and Food Processing Industries, Government of India, announced the establishment of Rani Laxmi Bai Central Agricultural University (Headquarters at Jhansi) while inaugurating Pusa Krishi Vigyan Mela-2014 at IARI Mela Ground on 26th February 2014.
